Key differences between Durango and Chevy Traverse

The Dodge Durango and the Chevrolet Traverse make an interesting comparison in large part due to the fact that the 2018 Traverse is a redesign for Chevrolet. It would stand to reason that a vehicle this new-to-market would ultimately be the clear winner but that's not necessarily true. What we found was that the Durango has best in class towing capacity at 1000lbs higher than Traverse. It has more standard features than the Chevrolet including fog lamps and an available sunroof. We also found the Traverse to be more expensive in several categories. The MSRP is almost $2,000 more, the 5 year projected cost of ownership was almost $6,000 more and the maintenance costs were higher. The Durango also has a more spacious passenger compartment. It's large touch screen tech interface was again best-in-class while it's higher ground clearance and tighter turning radius gives the Dodge some real off road capabilities.

Before you buy, you owe it to yourself to test drive the new Dodge Durango.
