Key differences between RAM Promaster and Nissan NV1500


The 2018 RAM ProMaster and the 2018 Nissan NV Cargo are two competitive large cargo vans you may be considering. Both offer cavernous cargo areas and naturally-aspirated V-6 engines. However, regarding capability, handling, and available features, the ProMaster demonstrates important advantages over its competitor from Nissan. 

The RAM is the more capable of the two vans. Its payload capacity is over a thousand pounds greater than that of the NV and it has more cargo space too. The ProMaster is also much easier to drive in tight areas thanks to its vastly superior turning circle.

ProMaster's engine makes more horsepower than the NV and it's front-wheel drive which provides more control in low-traction driving. The RAM is also much lighter than its competitor.

Lastly, ProMaster offers more available features than the Nissan like navigation and parking assistance, neither of which are an option in the NV1500.
